Well, here we are at the end of the first month of working at the new job. I enjoy the work very much and especially interfacing with the different people around campus. I am once again getting mentally stimulated and am utilizing more of my abilities in trouble shooting and web programming.

A new beginning
Well here it is, a new beginning for me. I am now a member of the College of the Siskiyous Staff. I work in the Distance Learning Center / Video Conferencing Center. Pretty cool work setting up and maintaining video conferences.
My primary work is still my Personal Coaching and this opportunity gives me a nice way to interface locally with allot of people.
I can see clearly now
Yay, my eye is now fully recovered. The surgeon felt that I would recover quickly and he was right. I never had any of the light sensitivity that some people have had afterwards. Good to have full unobstructed vision again. Weather here has broken and we have actually had some sun lately…. lol
Ahhh, a new year and time to make plans for what we want to accomplish with the precious days ahead!
If you want to create positive change in your life, here are some strategies to help you increase your chances for success:
1. Choose a resolution that feels manageable, yet still challenges you.
2. Be sure your resolution or goal is clearly attached to your vision; achieving it will take you toward your vision rather than away from it.
3. Be clear that your resolution is something YOU want.
4. Have a plan that not only defines the major steps over time, but also the small, individual action steps you can take on a daily basis.
5. Create some system of accountability; enlist the help of a Buddy who is as motivated as you are.
6. As you work your plan, allow the process to evolve and be refined.
The other side
I live in Mt Shasta, Ca, which is snow country. This last 2 weeks we have been treated to just that. Yes, along with the snow comes power outages which we have also had. I see these as just part of the price that we pay for the beauty that we live with once the snow melts and spring though short and then summer brings. The air and water here of some of the cleanest on earth. This Jan finds me with a eye that is almost fully recovered and looking forward to the challenges of the new year! I thank one and all for their support during my times of stress. My love and appreciation goes out to you all.
Mending
Wow, there is such a good feeling that one can have when they just take the time to give just to themselves. I have never honored myself with such a luxury before. Now with the eye healing I am choosing to take this stand for myself and most of all my health. As I watch the snow fly, a certain kind of calm comes over me. Responsibility to heal, to heal, to heal ……
Now you know
Hi All, sorry I went out of touch kind of recently. I just had eye surgery on my left eye and am now recovering. I have 12 stitches for the graft that was put on from a pterygium removal. Eye seems to be recovering fine, just feels like a piece of string in corner of eye……lol Here is a offical description > http://www.harvardeye.com/procedures/pterygium.html
I had this wonderful cat for 18 years Snowflake. At one point when she was 10 years old, she got a kind of cancer that pure white cats get, due to no pigmentation in the skin for protection from the sun. As a result of the cancer, she had to had her ears bobbed off and could no longer go outside into the sun. All her sun then had to be taken in through a window only. When she first came home from the hospital, she had stitches in both ears and for days would shake her head not understanding the sensation. I think she is watching me now just snickering at me who now feels like she did with strings in my eye. Even though I know what they are, does not make them feel any less intrusive …… Awwwwwooooooooo …. <<<>>>
I surrender
I know, kinda of a funny title. There is a reason for it though. I had a very nice call from a coach who thought I was barking up the wrong tree with my niche development. After talking with her for about 1 hr, she convinced me to not try and re-invent the wheel and just do what I have been doing for over 12 years. The one change to this, is to learn to market my services effectively. That is where I am now going to be putting my energy. I stimulate the desire in clients to learn to use their computers to save them time and money. Thanks you Rhonda for taking the time to put me back on track !
